Payments and Legal Policies
Payments, Donations, and Refunds

All payments made to Builders of a Better World, including payments for events, programs, or other activities, are treated as charitable contributions in support of our mission. Builders of a Better World is recognized as a tax‑exempt 501(c)(3) charitable organization, and contributions are used to further our charitable and educational purposes.

Because contributions are applied promptly to our programs and operations, all donations are generally nonrefundable, except as required by applicable law or in the event of a processing error (such as an incorrect amount or duplicate transaction). In the event an in‑person or virtual event is canceled and not rescheduled, we will comply with any refund obligations under applicable California law and may, at our discretion, provide donors the option of a refund or allow the full amount to remain as a charitable contribution.

Where a contribution is connected to an event and the donor receives goods or services in exchange (for example, admission, food, merchandise, or other benefits), only the portion of the contribution that exceeds the fair market value of those benefits is deductible as a charitable donation to the extent allowed by law. Builders of a Better World will provide written acknowledgments for qualifying contributions that identify our tax‑exempt status and disclose whether any goods or services were provided in return for the contribution, including a good‑faith estimate of their value when required.

Unless otherwise agreed to in a written gift or grant agreement accepted by Builders of a Better World, contributions are considered unrestricted and may be used where the need is greatest consistent with our charitable purposes. We reserve the right to modify suggested contribution amounts, event pricing, and fundraising terms at any time, subject to applicable law.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Builders of a Better World Inc is not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in our programs or use of our website.
By registering for or participating in any class, lesson, event, or program, you agree to complete any required liability waiver or release form prior to participation. Participation is contingent upon acceptance of this waiver, and you acknowledge and assume all inherent risks associated with your participation.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
